“Writer Helen Goldwyn instantly builds a great rapport … The story deftly blends the monstrous with the maternal.”

 Ian McArdell,

“Jameson and Goldwyn take on hard-hitting women’s issues like sexual morality, unplanned pregnancies, lesbian relationships and the equality of women.”

Susan Hewitt,

“The story that Mother Tongue explores is a dark one, but writer Helen Goldwyn handles it brilliantly.”

 James Aggas,

“This is an excellent Doctor Who story with which to pass the time … comfortably retro, well-played and with a perfectly knotty plot that demands your full attention. “
