As a singer, Helen’s performances include the self-penned, NO SEX IN THE CITY (with her three-hander group Ladies GoDiva) at The English Theatre of Hamburg, her one-woman show A FUNNY STAGE at The Pheasantry, London (produced by Paul L Martin) and at The Beacon (produced by TLC Productions). She also appeared in her one-woman show GOLDWYN’S FOLLIES at the Hackney Empire Studio and her other one-woman shows, WHEN LIGHTS ARE LOW, BROADWAY STORY and TWISTED TALES, have played in various venues around the UK.
Other cabaret and concert work has taken her all around the world including appearing as a lead singer in EAST MEETS WEST END in Beijing, with P&O CRUISES and in numerous concerts with ‘New London Entertainment’ in their shows THE BEST OF BROADWAY and LONDON PRIDE. Also in CURTAIN UP at the Burford Festival and OUT OF THE PIANO at the Cochrane Theatre.
For over 10 years, she regularly performed as lead singer with THE PICCADILLY DANCE ORCHESTRA (a big band, specialising in music from the 1930s and 40s) at The Savoy Hotel, as well as appearing in regular concerts (hosted by Sheridan Morley) at other London venues such as The Queen Elizabeth Hall, Pizza on The Park and Jermyn Street Theatre.
In 2007, Helen was one of the final 7 women in BBC Radio 2’s International VOICE OF MUSICAL THEATRE competition in Cardiff, in which she was broadcast singing with the BBC concert orchestra on FRIDAY NIGHT IS MUSIC NIGHT.
